Materials, feel of buttons and overall quality seems on par or better than others. I've noticed no plastic taste in the water as some of these have. You can turn off/on hot water, cold water and the LED night light. There is a switch on back for each.The water flow rate is about average for a water cooler. When filling a coffee pot You can hold down all three buttons for much quicker fill. The water temp with all three ends up being cool, not cold or hot. Loading water is easy. Open water, stick in tube and push down on the bottle lid/cover. There is a hook in the interior side of the door to hang the tube when switching bottles. The soft plastic water bottle lid/cover clicks on to the bottle top securely over the lip/groove on of the water bottle. Having the bottle in the bottom makes this far less likely to tip over. It heats and cools well enough for me; you'd have to turn on both heat and cold to have proper room-temperature water, say if you turn cooling off, the room temperature water would become too warm. It definitely leaks, and for my case it seems like it leaks the most after using hot water, it looks as if spigot has issues adjusting if water temperature varies too much. The paints on the buttoms wear off easily, as they're already gone for me. It's also noisy as it needs to pump the water up; but I do really wonder why it has to pump every single time I press for water, seems like the water reservior is small or there's just no water reservior at all up there..I'd say I'd rather lift a 5-gallon jug once a week than have to stand the pumping noise every single time I press for waterit's a 200-dollar unit, you'd want to use it for at least 4 years...
